Responsibilities

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for leading the design and execution of electrical and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems across real estate, Infrastructure and construction projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder coordination, and a proactive approach to ensure high-quality and timely project deliverables. 

  • Lead the design and implementation of electrical and ELV systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards. 
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to facilitate smooth execution and timely delivery of MEP works. 
  • Oversee MEP site coordination and manage project execution from concept development through tendering and GFC (Good for Construction) stages. 
  • Conduct site inspections, review material submittals, and approve system commissioning to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards. 
  • Provide technical guidance during mock-ups, sample flat preparations, and final handover processes to ensure quality installations. 
  • Review and validate contractors’ shop drawings and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Represent the client in MOEF (Ministry of Environment and Forests) meetings and ensure all MOEF and CFO (Chief Fire Officer) submission requirements are met. 
  • Promote sustainable MEP solutions and contribute to cost estimation and budgeting efforts. 
  • Ensure adherence to electrical and ELV design standards, installation practices, and regulatory codes throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal departments such as architecture, structural engineering, interiors, liaison, and facilities, as well as external stakeholders including clients, consultants, and vendors. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required 
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in electrical and ELV systems design and MEP site coordination within the real estate or construction industry. 
  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience working with design consultants and 2 to 4 years in project execution. 
  • Strong knowledge of EC norms, MOEF and CFO requirements, NBC 2016, IS codes, and international standards such as NFPA 72 and IEC. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with ETAP, DIALux, and BIM software is considered an advantage. Experience to work on sustainability softwares like  energy modeling, IESVE etc is added advantage. 
  • Demonstrated ability to design, review, and deliver electrical and ELV systems from concept through tender and GFC stages. 
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing electrical infrastructure including cable distribution networks, substations, LV rooms, meter rooms, lighting systems, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, public address, and data/voice evacuation systems. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate across multiple disciplines.
