Responsibilities

A Group Manager has full responsibility for organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments for the India Construction Modeling Group offices. Plans and develops construction modeling projects with unique or complex issues. This involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of areas for investigation, and development of novel concepts. Acts as technical liaison to individuals within and outside their organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual’s field. This role is responsible for all personnel and production at an assigned office and/or practice area.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborates with Group Operations Director, provides guidance to team members regarding Walter P Moore design standards, design technique, and quality 
  • Manages staffing needs, workload distribution, project resources, and budget for new and existing projects  
  • Monitors progress of each assigned project and participates in monthly meetings with their group’s operational leadership regarding financial status
  • Coordinates regular meetings with staff to discuss project strategy and progress 
  • Collaborates with other office leaders, assigns project manager to oversee projects and helps select support staff  
  • Monitors team chargeability and project allocation of team 
  • Monitors financial activity for office (i.e., accounts receivables)  
    • Recruits, interviews, and selects high-caliber job candidates 
  • Develops and coaches assigned personnel to systematically assure the highest quality service and efficiency 
  • May serve on various corporate committees  
  • Coordinates work and/or various initiatives with other offices and with corporate support groups 
  • Promotes our Extraordinary Client Experience (ECX), by building effective relationships

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field required 
  • 15+ minimum prior years of experience, with experience as Managing Director or related managerial role 
  • Demonstrated career growth that includes experience working on project teams for a variety of building or project types 
  • Strong ethical leadership abilities 
  • Experience in developing budgets, and business plans, goals, and strategies 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Strong business and industry knowledge 
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion 
  • Ability to lead and supervise teams, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
