Senior GIS Specialist - Infrastructure Group

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior GIS Specialist for our Infrastructure Group in our Pune/ Bengaluru office. He/ She will perform work involving the application of all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignment. The candidate should be capable of exercising judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing the initial approach for complex GIS projects and will be given overall responsibility for the GIS analysis of projects. The primary duties include planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating GIS work involving conventional practices.

Essential functions include:

• Finds, retrieves and creates GIS data and processes, analyzes and summarizes data to assist engineers
• Should be able to search the internet for GIS data sources
• Should be able to collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Should be able to develop innovative map-based apps, visualizations and workflows using React JS and ArcGIS JS
• Should perform with a high-level knowledge of ESRI GIS software and associated extensions
• Should have an understanding of the interaction between CAD data and GIS data
• Should have an understanding of cartography and techniques for understanding and creating maps used by engineers.

• Master’s degree in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ Geography/ Geodesy or related fields required
• 5+ years of prior experience working as a GIS Developer with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro Desktop, ArcPy, Python
• Knowledge of software related to traffic and road services is a plus
• Programming knowledge in languages like Python, SQL, and open-source spatial databases required
• Should have experience in ArcGIS Web Development with working knowledge on ArcGIS JavaScript API, ArcGIS Rest API and JavaScript development
• A high level of knowledge of mobile GPS/ GIS data logging devices is required
• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to mentor others, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
• Strong client-service attitude and strong organizational skills
