Senior Parking Designer

Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Parking Designer to join their dynamic Parking Consulting team. The qualified candidate will have between 3 - 6 years’ relevant experience working on design of parking structures, office buildings, and other large commercial structures.  

In this role as Senior Technical Designer, you will work closely with the parking team and coordinate with other Walter P Moore disciplines.  Job tasks will include rationalizing geometry for appropriate parking structure schemes, rapidly develop parking structure Building Information Models (primarily utilizing REVIT), annotative plans and details and assisting with writing narratives. You will also be called upon to mentor and supervise junior staff as the team develops.

The qualified candidate should possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated design professional who can work within a strong team environment, working collaboratively with other WPM team members. Technical specialization in advanced drafting and REVIT modeling is a must.

Clients will include architects, developers, institutions, and contractors.  In addition to all the skills listed above, the qualified candidate should possess a strong “can-do” customer service attitude. 

• 7 - 10 years’ experience in building design.  Experience in the design of parking structures is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (Licenciatura en Arquitectura)
• Must be bi-lingual (Spanish and English) – English Level B2
• Must possess proficiency in the following software
• REVIT
• AutoCAD
• BIM 360
• Parametric modeling experience (desirable)
• Rhinoceros (desirable)
• Enscape, Lumion, or equivalent (desirable)
• Adobe Illustrator (desirable)
• Adobe Photoshop (desirable)
• Must have a valid US Business visa
• Must be proactive, have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be client-service oriented
